Physical transformation just 1.5 months into working with me and she is eating MORE food now! My Fitness Journey
Starting my fitness journey, it was only about weight loss, but that was never truly satisfying.
Being able to lift my body weight with good form and feel strong and pain free is so much more rewarding.
Not to mention I weigh at least 20 lbs more now, but I like my body so much more from the muscles and curves I’ve build for myself.
I have taken the Pain-Free Performance Specialist course and attended the live, in-person event in order to get down to the nitty gritty of form and building a strong pillar (your shoulders, hips & core) in order to be able to move better and with less pain.
Taking this course has helped my form and ability to do push-ups and pull-ups and also helps me identify and correct my client’s weak areas and imbalanced and build customized programming around those areas to have their weaknesses become their strengths.
I started my fitness journey like most 90’s babies.. obsessed with losing weight and having toxic diet culture shoved down my throat. I was also surrounded by men who shamed women with muscle. I was eating the 100 calorie packs from WW thinking it was healthy… LOL. After I went through a big breakup during Covid (and dealing with the stress of Covid), all of my old methods weren’t helping keep my weight down. My body was fighting back (and I thank God every day for that). I came to realize that I wasn’t in fact healthy like I thought I was. This is when I began my journey of not caring what the scale said and healing my relationship with food and the scale and my body. My once thin and stringy hair came back so thick (still not as thick as it once was, but we’re getting there). This was from a combination of eating more in general, eating more protein, prioritizing healthy fats, and limiting the amount of heat I use on my hair. This is my favorite non-scale victory, and that is what I get my clients to focus on. My other non-scale victory that I’m really excited about is how I am way less cold than I used to be (temperature wise…lol)! Even visiting my parents in the middle of winter in Michigan, I used to be so cold, but now that I have more muscle and some healthy body fat, and my resting metabolism has increased and I don’t feel as cold or need as many layers and blankets. This also means I burn more calories at rest, so I can eat MORE!
I used to have extreme upper back pain. It was a combination of being a nerd and always hunched over studying or working, as well as neglecting my posture and back exercises.
When I started focusing on doing the right type of exercises and stretches to fix my Upper Cross Syndrome and fix the imbalances side to side, I was able to finally do push-ups and pull-ups.
My back is in way less pain now, and I don’t feel the need to go to get a massage as often (although I still go because I love them, I no longer have so much pain that I HAVE to go).
I weighed about 120 lbs in the first photo and couldn’t do body weight pull-ups. Right now I weigh around 140-150 lbs (I haven’t actually weighed myself in a while) and I can lift my bodyweight for multiple reps!
I weigh about the same now as I did when I only wanted to lose weight (the first photo).
In the first photo, I was an avid cross country runner, running at least 2-10 miles a day. I also had a bad relationship with food where I would eat healthy, but then overdo it on sweets and treats and I had no control.
In the middle picture, I was lifting weights, but I wasn’t gaining muscle because I was too restrictive with my food and only focused on weight loss and not overall health.
In the last photo (me now), I am focused on strength, health, mindfully eating in a balanced a non-restrictive way, moving my body in an optimal and pain-free way, and being a confident baddie.
I’ve learned so much through my trials and errors, which is why I coach other women, so I can help them bypass those trials and errors and quantum leap into their dream body with a healthy mindset and a healthy relationship with the scale and their body.
I was a cardio girl in the first photo, but I lacked the definition I wanted. I thought losing weight would solve the problem.
Turns out, it didn’t! I didn’t have firm curves, my hair was thinning, and I still felt insecure about my body. I used to step on the scale multiple times per day and let the scale dictate my mood and what I would eat that day. It was draining my energy.
Flash forward to now, I haven’t stepped on the scale in 3 months, and I really only go on the scale when it’s the InBody scale and it’s measuring my body fat percentage as well. I eat whole foods and lots of protein, but I also eat some cookies and ice cream because I like it. Now that I don’t give myself any restrictions on food, I have zero desire to overeat, because I never feel like I’m having a cheat day, and I hate the feeling of not feeling good after I eat.
I help my clients overcome their limiting beliefs around food and fitness and the scale & help them feel at ease with eating a holiday events and going on date nights and girls nights out.

I am an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and I am a Pain-Free Performance Specialist and working with a mentor to further my knowledge in pain-free training. I will be able to help you navigate your mechanical pain points, through form cues specific to your body, posture, and form so that you have a pain-free workout. If there is anything outside of my scope of practice, I will help you find the right type of clinician to see. If you feel that I am I good fit your you, book your discovery call here.

What Makes My Program Different?
Customization:
I will customized your workout plan based on your strengths, weaknesses, posture, form, personal anatomy and bone structure and your overall goals.
Form Cues:
Each workout comes with form cues and video tutorials so you are never lost on what to do, how to breathe during the workout or the things to look out for when setting up for the workout. Each person has different anatomy and different imbalanced and weak points, so you will also be getting personalized form cues and corrections.
Weekly Zoom Calls:
You will have a Zoom call 1x/week with me in order to tackle and obstacles with food, workouts, form, or mindset. You will also fill out a questionnaire before the call so we can go though everything with a fine-tooth comb and view your progress and struggles form many different aspects.
Monthly Movement Screening Calls:
Each month, we will do a movement screening Zoom call in order to assess where your form and mobility is at and identify any areas we need to address. This is also the time I will introduce new movements to you so you are more prepared to perform the workouts on your own. These calls will help me alter your workout plans as necessary.
1-1 Support Throughout the Week:
My 1-1 clients can text me anytime throughout the week to get the support that they need and ask any questions about form, food, mindset or anything that they need my support with.
